Challenge

O25 operates a growing network of smart water fountains designed to reduce plastic bottle consumption and promote sustainable hydration. As the network expanded, the team needed better tools to monitor fountain performance, track user engagement, and measure environmental impact across multiple locations.

Existing systems lacked the real-time visibility needed to make informed decisions about fountain placement, maintenance scheduling, and resource allocation. On the consumer side, the mobile app needed a refresh to better engage users with hydration goals and sustainability data.

Solution

We delivered an integrated digital ecosystem connecting O25's IoT infrastructure to both operational and consumer-facing interfaces.

A custom analytics dashboard gives the operations team real-time monitoring of fountain performance, water quality, and consumption patterns across the entire network. The dashboard surfaces the metrics that matter (uptime, usage trends, and maintenance signals) in a single view.

The consumer mobile app, rebuilt with React Native and Expo for rapid iOS and Android deployment, tracks individual hydration goals and shows users the environmental impact of choosing a fountain over a plastic bottle. The backend, running Django on Digital Ocean, handles water quality data processing, consumption aggregation, and real-time IoT data ingestion.
