We collaborated with MyPop, a Belgian car rental service focused on flexible, long-term rentals, to develop a cutting-edge web platform that redefines the car rental experience. This solution empowers users with self-service subscriptions, integrates seamlessly with car delivery APIs, and provides real-time vehicle tracking through sensor data. Built with a custom vanilla Node.js and TypeScript backend and a Next.js frontend powered by Prismic, the platform also introduces an innovative OCR and AI-driven fine management system. An admin back office equips MyPop’s team with robust tools to oversee subscriptions, fleet management, and operations.

MyPop sought to stand out in a crowded car rental market by delivering a seamless, technology-driven experience.

Their goals required a platform capable of:

We crafted a tailored platform with a robust technical foundation and innovative features:

Frontend: Developed using Next.js and integrated with Prismic as a headless CMS, delivering a fast, SEO-optimized interface where users can explore cars, choose subscription plans, and manage their rentals.

Backend: Powered by vanilla Node.js with TypeScript, offering a lightweight and adaptable system to manage subscriptions, process real-time sensor data, and handle payments through Adyen.

Admin Back Office: A custom dashboard enabling MyPop’s team to oversee subscriptions, monitor vehicle data, and manage operations effortlessly.

OCR and AI Fine Management: An automated system that uses OCR to extract details from fine documents and AI to assign fines to the correct driver based on rental records and vehicle assignments. This tech stack provided a high-performance, scalable solution tailored to MyPop’s specific needs, avoiding unnecessary complexity.
